Mary Ellen weds Jonesy but tragedy strikes the newlyweds during their honeymoon camping trip. Mary Ellen has a difficult time adjusting to her new reality, becomes insecure in her new marriage, and seeks the comfort of her mother Olivia, who is still recovering from tuberculosis in Arizona. Aimee returns home from finishing school a little too worldly and rebellious for Corabeth’s taste.
