Townes Van Zandt – Dead Flowers (written by JAGGER/RICHARDS) from the album Road Songs (wich is a cover album) i really love this song but i couldn`t find any decent video for it on youtube so here you go. just pics of mr.Van Zandt and some video of me driving the back country roads of my town.

    I totally agree. This version feels like the origional and the Stone’s version feels like the cover.
    TVZ kills this song and makes it his own.

    It’s strange that the Stones would even write a song like this. It just doesn’t sound right with a heavy, rock-beat and electric guitars.

    The video footage here is from the documentary “be here to love me”,any Townes fan should check it out,but beware….infinite sadness! don’t watch while depressed! I love his songs, and Lebowski is one of my favorites.I’ts also cool that townes has another song in a Jeff Bridges movie,Crazy Heart ,has if I needed you! what a songwriter!!

    @banfile7 thats cool, when ever I play it I play it as a van zandt cover. its in his style and could be his. He wrote so many good songs it really doesnt matter.
