    @Warriorman3455 kinda different since you actually come out of your mother and they are the ones to take care of you…most fathers left their family a long time ago.

    @JoTheShmo72 Dead or alive or around or not, unless you magically poofed into existence, everyone indeed has a mother. If one’s mother has passed away, you can put flowers on the grave and remember her. If she’s not around, surely there’s some motherly figure in your life, be it a teacher or aunt or grandmother, that you can appreciate.

    Funny, I hate mother’s day. My mom died in 1991, I was 3 years old. Every time it somehow comes up (mother’s day, your mom jokes, randomly, etc) that my mother is dead I get all this pity from people that I just don’t want.
    I’m over it. I have a mother figure, but I don’t give her anything. And it’s not out of disrespect for her, but it’s for respect of my mother. And she completely understands this. I don’t need to be told for the 50,000th time, “Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry!” Happens every year.
