Cable tie was a very useful invention by Thomas & Betts. It took a long time from the first invention to get the actual cable tie which was required by the industrialists to tie their inventories. Many innovations took place and finally we now have the cable ties used by people on a daily basis.

The advantages of cable ties can be classified by looking as its use by different people in different walks of life. Producers of goods may use them for a different purpose and ordinary people for domestic use may find a lot of variety of uses for it.

A producer uses cable ties when he needs to ship or send his products from one place to another. In-transit goods have to be tied up properly so that any chance of theft, damage or misplacement becomes rare.

A retailer uses them to tie up the grocery bags and bags carrying other goods while he packs them for his customer. Most of the supermarkets now cannot do without it as the chance of a customer dropping his products out of the bags gets minimized. This extra precaution also attracts most people back to the store as the consumers think that the retailer is very meticulous in adhering to the needs of the customers in so many ways.

There are many artistic uses of cable ties too and some uses can be regarded as very innovative but quite funny. Flowers can be fastened together with cable ties especially at an outdoor function when big floral arrangements need o be done. A lot of clever artists have used cable ties to make baskets out of them various colors of cable ties have been use to weave attractive baskets and are available for sale to.

People have used them for domestic purposes like tying up garbage bags and various household things that are not in immediate use and need to be tied up and kept safely for some time. They prevent things from getting rusty, stale, and even insects or creepy crawlies can’t get in; which is a relief for the females. Many households use them for their Christmas decorations too in order to hold things together, thus preventing lights and decorations from falling off.

Other amazing uses around the house are: using cable ties as fasteners in times of emergency when shoe laces, zips break etc. To tie up costumes, during travelling, any event decoration stuff, to hold your food together while cooking etc.

Cable ties are an amazing invention and thus now a day’s people cannot do without it. It helps people around the house and has many industrial and in-transit uses that cannot be ignored. Without it producers and agents faced a lot of confusion in order to secure their goods and prevent pilfering. In retail outlets bags without cable ties can be marked as a sign of shoplifting too. It makes life easy and helps ordinary people in times of need. Cable ties surely are things worth having in your house!

And for something new, I have made a batch of them to sellso if you want to get your hands on one, there are a few for sale at my Etsy Shop, WendyNasmithDesigns. The flowers on this card have been handmade by using a paper scraper by Making Memories, then scrunched up and lightly sanded to create the shabby chic effect. Theyve been worked so much the paper has almost a suede feel to itvery tactile! The bottom of the card is made out of vellum with the sentiment embossed in brown ink.
