At the aquarium, the Giant Ocean Tank is the main attraction with sharks, turtles and reef-living fish featuring in a simulation of the Caribbean Coral Reef. Sights to See in Boston: Boston Public Garden

One of places that one should definitely visit on a trip to Boston is the Boston Public Garden. It is accessible due to its location in the city centre and offers a serene assortment of plant life and other attractions. Right at the entrance, a statue of George Washington riding a horse greets the incoming visitors. Another interesting feature reflecting history and tradition are the Swan Boats that tread the waters of the lake in the summers. Experiencing the tradition that these boats represent and immersing ones self in the natural beauty of the garden is best done by taking a ride in these boats. In addition to these attractions the garden does quite well as a garden too, with a collection of trees such as weeping willows and elms as well as a seasonally planted assortment of flowers. A refreshing experience is guaranteed in view of the large sums of money spent each year on the maintenance and decoration of this garden.

Townes Van Zandt – Dead Flowers (written by JAGGER/RICHARDS) from the album Road Songs (wich is a cover album) i really love this song but i couldn`t find any decent video for it on youtube so here you go. just pics of mr.Van Zandt and some video of me driving the back country roads of my town.

This is a video I put together of Radiohead’s “Last Flowers”. The video consists of Radiohead, Live in the Basement and clippings of the movie “Last Days”, a Seattle-set rock & roll drama about a musician whose life and career is reminiscent of Kurt Cobain’s. And the begining fly-by scene’s are from “Kurt Cobain About a Son”. It is a Tribute to Kurt Donald Cobain, the leader of Nirvana, the multi-platinum grunge band that redefined the sound of the nineties. (February 20, 1967 — c. April 5, 1994).

Eat, Shop and Relax in Westerpark, Amsterdam

Westerpark was named as such because of the beautiful park that dominates its landscapes, filled with strategic waterscapes and people lounging around with picnic baskets, kids running around the lined trees and adults reading a book or chatting the day away. Aside from its main feature though, Westerpark, Amsterdam also offers tourists many galleries, restaurants, cafes, cinemas and structures which surround the park. For starters, one can visit the different unique architectural styles found at the Amsterdam School and Silodam. The latter is a beautiful building which looks like its suspended above the waterscape and was commissioned off of one of the great architectural firms in Amsterdam, MVRDV. After the walking tour, grab a bite to eat at eateries like WestergasTerras with a fascinating view of the people on the streets with the advantage of a huge terrace or for something more exotic, go to Rainarai for authentic Algerian cuisine. If youre on a budget, head on to Caf Restaurant Amsterdam, a historic structure which was once a 1900s engine room, now a favorite hangout place of Amsterdammers in Westerpark. Happy strolling!

Why Amsterdams Centrum is Worth the Visit

Centrum, apt to its name, has everything Amsterdam has to bring tourists centralized in one area. Theres the Royal Palace of Amsterdam where Queen Beatrix of Netherlands lives occasionally, rotating around her four homes found around Netherlands. Before, it was closed due to safety reasons but has since opened again late last year to accommodate tourists and locals interested to see where royalty lives. Theres also Bloemenmarky, the worlds only floating market which sells mostly flowers. Aside from the flowers, the market also houses cheap souvenir finds for tourists. Next, check out the Van Gogh Museum where this Dutch Painters largest collection of works is found. Aside from the more famous ones, theres also hidden museums found in Amsterdams canals with private residents as curators or those intended to benefit small organizations, and are also worth the tour. There is also Anne Franks House down the famous Prisengracht 263 which marks the secret room where she hid with her family. A myriad of shops and restaurants are also strewn all over the place so one can relax after a tiring day going about Centrum.

How to Get Around Amsterdam

Amsterdam has easy to use facilities even for visiting tourists which are evident in its public transportation, quite commendable as it gives tourists a chance to be self-sufficient on the trip. Even before your trip to Amsterdam, you can already check out the various routes easily with their interactive map found at their online official website. The website gives out practical pointers such as which routes are the fastest to take and where else to go in Amsterdam. Theres also Arriva which is a public transportation service that has a fleet of buses, trains, taxis and coaches which allows one to go around at different parts of Amsterdam. Another service which is a cross between planned tour transport and custom travel is Oostenrijk Touringcars and is best reserved especially during Amsterdams peak season. But if you need the luxury of controlling your own time, then the best alternative would be to rent a scooter, bicycle, car or boat just so its convenient for you.

Amsterdam for the Romantic at Heart

In a place associated with the most lude sexual undertones, how can Amsterdam possibly turn to romance?Well, surprisingly, it can and for many, it is in this unexpectedness that many find the spark of romance. Amsterdam, similar to that of Venice, is a floating city and it is in these waterscapes, during quiet night walks with the canal as background, that many couples feel a sense of tranquility with each other. Add to this the many beautiful cafes on cobblestone steps that seem to imbibe a feeling of lazy afternoons sitting by people watching and strolling through the different mazes of the town such as that of Spanjer en van Twist. Aside from these, there are parks which are great hangout places such as Flevopark, Sarphatipark, Vondelpark, Westerpark and Snippendaal Garden. After everything, laze the remaining day away in one of Amsterdams minimalist hotels and watch the sunset together on a city thats bright with new perspective.
